My elderly neighbour has been told her nat sav isa has been cancelled and transferred to a TSB Reserve Account". Anyone know anything about this???

More details needed! Exactly what product did she have with NS&I? What exactly did they tell her? Does she already have a TSB account? NS&I are unrelated to TSB so they can't unilaterally transfer funds to an account with another institution!
Is it possible that there was some confusion when NS&I closed down their old ISA product earlier in the year (although the default option was to move to their Direct ISA)? http://www.nsandi.com/our-cash-isa-closed0 -
Does she have an attorney who may have made the transfer on her behalf? (If so, if she has capacity, the attorney should have consulted her before making the transaction).0
