Crown currency Exchange

Hello all
I'm looking for anyone who may have used this company for currency exchange. We're not going away till next year but if I order my currency with them now and pay up front they will guarentee(sp) a rate of $2 to £1:j
I just wondered if any one had any dealings. It all looks very legit and they are registered with both company house and the inland revenue.
Many thanks in advance for any advice.

What if the rate weakens to $2.2, you've lost out.
You'd also loose out on any interest on the money because it is in their account.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Hi,
We have used them for our dollars for the past 2 years, and this year we bought ours at the Interbank rates. They come highly recommended by me, excellent service, and the money arrives by special delivery the day that they tell you. The only thing that you have to consider is would you earn more interest on your money in a savings account to cancell out the gain in exchange rate for the period that they will have your money, ie 6 months if you say you are not going to go until next year. ( you will have to pay them now so they will have your money) I believe the rate is the highest it will ever be right now for a long long time and when Gordon Brown gets in i think thats when we may see a fall. You can be assured that they are a reputible company.

It could swing both ways I suppose. The best deal is their 31-40 day advance purchase- its at interbank rate -1% aprox handling charge.
If its for a year, based on $2 =£1 . You could put your money in a top paying ISA and get 12c in the £ interest. draw it 31 days to get the (current best buy rate) I reckon based on today that would be a better deal.
As Richardw says, its currency speculation. If we could do that, wed be having dinner with the Beckhams.
I suggest, If you are happy to get their Year advance rate-go for it.
Be aware also a years along time, circumstances can change but your money will be locked in, I imagine.0 -
