Good news.
To use it to build up a credit rating its best to pay off in full each month but after the statement has been generated (if you pay it before the statement is produced then it won't help your credit file).
Don't withdraw cash and don't use it for gambling transactions as these will incur interest from the date of the transaction. Just normal spending such as the petrol you mentioned is best. You will probably only get a fairly low limit, ideally don't spend to close to the limit.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
