Itch Scalp, reccomendations cheap shampoo.

I dont have dandruff either, but I use head & shoulders for an itcy scalp, its brilliant.

Then I use a non dandruff shampoo for my second wash.

I had a really itchy scalp a few months ago and tried a few mild type shampoos over a few months but nothing seemed to help and if anything it got worse.


It turned out I was low in iron following a blood test. It wasn't something you could just pop a single pill and change, it took a few months of eating better and checking on the iron until it was in a normal range and subsequently my scalp stopped itching.


I also was wondering if it could be eczema or if you had burnt or dried your scalp with heating styling tools (such as hair dryers or straighteners). I used to wash my hair 6 days a week but cut back to 3 days a week. It seems to have helped with the dryness of my skin elsewhere so I wonder if similar was happening to my scalp.


Don't forget, changing your shampoo too frequently could mess with the ph levels on your skin and cause further irritation so try not to change more than every 6-8 weeks unless of course your having an especially adverse reaction.

I find Head and Shoulders Cool Menthol works better on my scalp psoriasis than the Itchy Scalp formula.
