EBay extend NPB strike to 8 days

I get more than my fair share of non paying bidders and I alwys give them a strike.

Not too happy that I have to file a reminder in 7 days and also having to wait an additional 7 days to give them a strike.

Noticed recently that ebay have extended it to 8 days which is ridiculous. 16 days in order to get FVF refund from a timewaster is too long.

I think it has rather sneakily been 8 days for a while. I've certainly not been able to close my dispute after 7 days for some time now.

Luckily I don't get too many and the last few have all paid up just in the nick of time.

What exactly does a "strike" mean? Does it show on their history?

It used to be 3 strikes and you were out but it's a bit more woolly now. They apparently take into account how long you've been on ebay and your feedback history overall, so for instance a new buyer with 2 NPBs might get struck of fon the 2nd strike, whereas a more established buyer might get to 4 strikes before suspension.
