BT customer service shambles

What a shambles BT is. After numerous calls to sort out an error with their billing and eventually speaking to a supervisor in India, I am STILL waiting for a refund of £19.50 to be applied to my account 2 bills later, despite a confirmation text. Simply getting through to the right person to speak to is a gamble. My latest attempt took 45 minutes to be connected to someone who could help. Too much money spent on BT Sport I fear!:angry:

Welcome to the MSE forums jon d bath.

My immediate thoughts on your post are that spending time on the telephone is wasted time now.

Write (a well-constructed but not verbose email is the quickest method) to BT's Chief Executive.

CEO email addresses can be found at http:/ /www.ceoemail.com/ (remove the space between the first 2 slashes).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • It's all about Customer Care, you're a Customer and they don't Care.
A State Monopoly now turned into a Private Monopoly.
As you rightly say BT have squandered a £1 Billion on their ludicrous football channel and see the future in that direction.
The company is so labyrinthine that it is virtually impossible to contact anybody, quite ironic for a communications business!
    Good Luck with your quest.

Sometimes a good old fashioned letter works where email or call centre communication does not.

Wonder why BT company rep is happy to help out here but conspicuous by his absence in the threads where customers report all the problems being experienced with cs over trying to leave within 10 days of getting informed of the price changes?

Probably because they don't want to be beaten to death, to be honest neither would I.
