Hi,
I can't find much info on the bookstore for these, on the web it all seems to be American only, is there a UK webstore to browse?
Also are there any sort of parental controls on these? I am interested in one for my son but what's to stop him downloading 50 Shades of Grey?:eek::eek:European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
I have got the normal nook and am really pleased with it. I didn't go for the Glow because there was all sorts of complaints of the screen developing a light crack, where the light leaked through and then you couldn't use them. Anyone know anything about it as i'm thinking of upgrading to the Glow at this low price.0

There is a UK store but they're so easy to sync with Calibre that I rairly use the store, you can rent books from the library to FOC.
You cold just link the nook to calibre and then update books for your son, their not like kindles where you have to link directly to your Amazon account.0 -

I do the same. I don't use the store at all. I just use Calibre all the time - with Amazon's Kindle books.

Another tip. Creat an account using the UK Nook site - before you attach your Nook. That way you don't need to add a credit card - and can't then accidentally buy a book - and neither can anyone else - using the device.0

I had a Kobo but it waqs very glitchy, ended up getting my money back. Got a Kindle HD which I love but got a Nook Glolight on the cheap earlier this year for reading in the sun on holiday and in the night on holiday, and I love it! Dead easy to sync with Calibre too0
