Which pension for the next ten years

Is it possible for anyone to give some advice for my partner related to his pension? He is fifty and has accumulated a pension of 16k per year in teacher's pension. Last year he came out due to a break from work, he has now started work again - where is the best place for him to save more for retirement over the next ten or so years, saving around £250 per month, is it rejoining teachers pension or something else?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Public sector pensions are the best options in virtually all cases, they are getting less generous but still beat anything available in the private sector or investing.
I presume that this is an either or question, and this monthly amount isn't in addition to teachers contribution, if so please clarify and people might be able to help further.0 -
Ah, yes, not clear, sorry. the £250 is about how much he has for his pension but in addition we should have about £200 per month between us to save.Sealed Pot Challenge no. 510

he should rejoin the TPS. then the 200 into a pension for you (you each need one) or a S&S isa.0
