I was ready on Monday when it first started raining. Empted the water butt (about 15% full) into buckets in view of the impending rain. The butt is now full
I could do with another one tbh
We now need some sunshine, bring it on0 -
good grief, I wasn't expecting this much rain..............:eek:0

I just checked on my new water butt a while ago - its about 1/4 full so I reckon it should be nicely full by Monday - we are forecast more rain till then I think... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I don't know where you are but it's flooded here and my poor garden plants need armbands! The swear the butt is sending the water back up the pipe!0

omg:eek:
I'm in south west England and although we've had rain we've not had that amount.
no need to water my tomatoes this evening or for a few days I think... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I've not got round to buying a water butt yet (the thought of trying to get it back home on the bus fills me with dread!)
So I've improvised and put some tubing on the down pipe which in turn fills a bucket & I've got little buckets all over the patio catching water - neighbours must think i'm loopy but hey, saving water by the bucketload - literally:T0 -
