Everyday she speaks of him, bless her. She is head over heels with him. How can I listen to her and know that he's an @rsehole?!
Incidentally, it looks as though he has deleted his FB.
because lots of people we meet we think are @holes. you don't have to like him, you're not head over heels with him. There are loads of ways this could go, on its own. It could all fizzle out, he could be a complete @hole to her and she'll dump him etc etc.0 -
Thanks all.
Just feel awful for my friend, I really do. I'd hate for her to be unhappy, but part of me thinks if he is stupid enough to message me, the girl who works with his girlfriend, then how many other people is he messaging?
Urgh, what a horrible situation. I will try and forget all about it.

I assumed you are male when I read the OP, which puts a whole new spin on it!0

Sounds like he was indeed drunk, and by deleting his FB account he is embarrassed.
It's a tough one whether to tell or not, but I think for me, in this case, I don't think I'd mention it to her.0 -
To answer the question from someone above, I am in my 20's.
My friend and her boyfriend are mid-30's - and met on Facebook!

You do not need to participate in conversations about b/f. Change the topic , be busy. The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -
Personally I would say something v light hearted like "X added me to Facebook last week and started chatting to me on Saturday night. He seemed very drunk then blocked me!"0

Facebook is the devil's work.:hello:0

Yeah the amount of drama surrounding it is offputting. It gives people so tempting options in continuing bitter exchanges with exes , stalking someone , gossiping etcThe word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Yes, Facebook can be awful.
I only add people I know, and as I knew this guy through my friend etc, thought it would be ok. Certainly wasn't expecting this.
