Hi Guys,
I have been unemployed for a while now and would like some advice.
I am 34 and have a degree in economics and law a 2:2. I had been in a job managing a team of customer service representative but never used the knowledge gained from my degree.
I would like to learn some new skills to add to my cv can someone please point me in the right direction for some short courses.
I am on ESA because I have arthritis. I would really like to get back into work. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Contact your local FE College. As you are on ESA (providing it is WRAG) then you are eligible for ESF Skills Suport for Unemployment funding which covers a wide range of courses. They will also be able to advise on courses useful to you & your position.0

Check out Vision2Learn. They do a few online courses - Customer Service, Business & Admin etc. and they're free!
I recently completed the Business and Admin one, just because it was free, and would probably look good on my CV. It was straight forward and I could do it when I finished work.
Other than that, ask your local college for an adult learning course guide, I'm sure they'll be able to give you loads of information and you might find a course that suits you better than the Vision2Learn ones.Weight Loss3lb Lost32lb To Go:xmassmile 8 Week Christmas Cracker SW Challenge :xmassmile3lb/12lb0 -

What do you actually want to do for a living?
Short courses are fine but you seem to complain about not using your degree and so you dont really want to do further courses and find yourself not using them either.
How large is your employers? Do they have the type of work you want to do in another department? Can you speak to your manager/ HR about what it would take to make the switch and do some career planning with them rather than blindly do courses.0
