Advice on advertising a job

Hi,
Would anyone be able advise me on the following;

I am trying to put together a historical book which includes some research around a family name. I have a bunch of information and really just need someone to compose bits of writing for me.

I asked at the jobcentre if I could advertise a job like this which might be of interest to students of history and they mentioned minimum wage, and liability insurance etc and that scared me off!

I CAN do it myself but my time is taken up by other commitments-so I basically need someone I can give an outline to and ask them to compose a one or two thousand words for a fixed payment.

Anyone suggest a way of going about this? I today asked a university and they also mentioned minimum wages, and business insurance. But Im a private individual requiring bits of writing to which a payment is given. I'm starting to think that unless Im an official employer/business that I can not advertise work such as this. Would that be correct?:question:

    Work is to be paid as if its not its not work and you want a volunteer. Two different things and no you can advertise a non paying job on the job centres website.

  • No, that's not right.

    As an individual, you don't need business insurance or whatever else. What you need is a freelance writer, or something along them lines.

    Have a look at: freelancer.co.uk

    That should give you what you want.

  • Something like this might help http://www.peopleperhour.com/?utm_source=PeoplePerHour+Company+Newsletter&utm_campaign=412-Hourlie_of_the_Day+2013-09-12&utm_medium=email&utm_content=GBP&ref=email as its more you need someone to help out rather than take someone on as though it is a job
