Hi
I have been off work since the 22nd July with pregnancy related illness I let my employers no straight away and have handed in all my fit notes from the doctors.
This week is week 7 of still waiting to find out if they are going to pay ssp or not.
I have been in contact with various organisations citezins advice, hmrc, ESA enquiry and AcAS all have said they can understand why I'm not entitled I pass the criteria of earnig 109 a week.
I was on a contract of full time temp from 23rd nov -12 July then changed to part time temp when and as required - work have put down on the ssp form my contract was for a fixed period and has ended.
Can anyone advice I now have wrote a formal letter to work stayin they have 7 days to either pay or to respond to the letter - then il have to take it further. This is stressing me out and probably isn't good for the baby
Work have now said How r they suppose to work out ssp cos after the 12th July I worked two days then went off sick - my response I don't know that's not my problem I dnt know anything about it.
Who's right here ?

Tell them to see:
Page 11 for the qualifying conditions.
Page 37 to confirm that qualifying casual workers are entitled to SSP.
& Pages 26/27 To work out the 'relevant period.'0 -
