Did you ever see Jasper Carrot and his advice on Moles ?? might give you some ideas.0

doeas anyone have any advice on how i can stop the thing.
There are many annoying garden pests, and while moles are certainly in there, big-time, they also fall into the sub-set 'indestructible.'
Of course, there will be others along soon who'll disagree. However, they are wrong.
If you can't learn to love your mole, I'm afraid you'll just have to cover your garden with paving slabs, or move.0 -

Google "Mole catcher East Midlands" (I see that's where you are) or check this site http://www.guildofbritishmolecatchers.co.uk/0 -

A friend of ours was told to put dog poo down the hole. He had tried everything but this worked for him. Don't waste your money on traps or electronic devices all rubbish. We had one which my OH got as saw it digging at dusk it didn't suffer the hoe got him.0

Well, a mole trap like this worked for me.
I carefully opened the top of a FRESH molehill, inserted the trap down the shaft so it covered the horizontal run, and next day the mole had been despatched with a broken neck. Try not to handle the trap to much and certainly not with un-gloved hands as they can smell it.
Never had a problem since.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

Yup, got those, did the glove bit, know all about it....:)
Doesn't work!
My problem is that our moles very rarely re-trace their steps,; they just keep going. I can only think this is because we have very friable soil and relatively few worms. Also, the regular run thing doesn't work too well if it's forever caving-in.
We also have a couple of fields, so an almost inexhaustible supply of moles.
Not as many as voles, though. I can shove my arm into the hedgerow soil, right up to the elbow. Riddled with holes, that is, but things still grow.0
