EMA + Ryanair + JetParks = Expensive?

Hi, Just thought I'd share this with you all in case you either had the same experience or were thinking of doing the same:
We booked 3 days of airport parking through the Ryanair booking which was with JetParks. It came to £36.
On arrival (very early) we didn't get issued automatically with a ticket and the barrier didn't open. Instead of speaking to an Operator we just pressed for a ticket. So we had a general purpose ticket, not connected with our booking.
On return we went to leave and the machine said "Amount due: £26". We got the operator to open the barrier by giving our booking reference BUT had we not booked, we could have paid the £26 on the general purpose one and saved £10!!
Anyone else caught out by this?

Don`t know why you booked through RA in the first place.
£36 seems a bit steep for 3 days anyway.
Join TopCashBack and search for airport parking.
Better still get emails from HolidayExtra.co.uk, who always offer 10% off.

Always book through one of the discount links in the cheap airport parking article on the main site, you can often get quite substantial discounts.0

If its on a flight booking site, it comes under "and you may also need"
That means they are Up Selling, and it probably isn't what they specialise in or is going to be "best value"
In my world. Go to
Airlines for flights
Car hire companies for car hire
Hotel booking companies for hotels.
Insurance companies for insurance
Rarely do one specialist offer a good deal on another.0 -
How were you "caught out" by this?
Ryanair offered you three days parking at that price. You accepted. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

They were caught out paying more than they needed to, it seems a valid point to raise on the forum. They didn't specifically claim they necessarily had a problem with Ryanair charging what they did.0
