PayPal account used in Nigeria!!

Just recieved an email from PayPal
"We recently noticed an attempt to log into your PayPal account from Nigeria, A foreign IP address and we have reason to believe your account was being used by a third party without your authorization."
They are going to temporarily suspend my account which is good. I set up my PayPal last year when I joined ebay, and have not used it. I have no way of checking if my account has been used because I can't remember which card I used to register (if that's what I needed to do)
Has this happened to anyone else before, and should I be worried?

Make sure the email is real before you do ANYTHING...there is a phish going round exactly like that which asks you to log in via a link to rectify the situation and return your account to good standing.
