Anglia Water

Fifty days ago I discovered that for nine years I had been paying commercial water rates for my private flat. The monthly charges for a single person worked out at £34 a month.I contacted Anglia Water & they dropped the charges to £12.Every time I call them they tell me they are still working out how much they owe me. My question is how to I draft a letter & who do I post it to? Because of the delay I want a cash refund;some form of compensation; And 5% interest over nine years. Can some-one give me some advice on this one?

Hi Harry, there are also these people, http://www.ccwater.org.uk/server.php?show=nav.41
Quite why it needs 12 board members , not sure.

The letters crossed in the post.Altho I have been paying for nine years,Anglia has said it will only backdate six years. No mention of compensation. They reckon they owe me the overcharge of £276..? I have all the bills from day one so I will have to plod thru them to see if our figures match.Any ideas for my next move.Maybe the Small Claims Court ?

Have just found the correct agency to deal with this; The Consumer Council for Water whose address is on the back of every water bill.

Good start Harry...you losing interest as well on that £276 plus. Maybe another £20 to come if further delayed. Inland Revenue aint quite so generous.
