ICE Travel Card - Website issues

I recently ordered the travel card from ICE as I am going on holiday to Gran Canaria in September.
This was of interest to me because there are no withdrawal charges, no annual fee and I wasn't too keen on taking large amounts of foreign currency with us in cash.
The exchange rate offered on the website is pretty competitive and everything about the card seems good.
However, the functionality of the website is terrible. It crashes constantly and seems really temperamental as to what functions it allows me to do on a daily basis.
Has anyone else ever used this card and have they experienced similar issues with the website?
I am really keen to use this card but I don't want to get in the situation where I arrive on holiday and am unable to transfer funds onto the card at a later date due to a poor website and, as a result, incur bank fees or miss out on preferential currency exchange rate.
Does anyone have any advice on this one?
Thanks
Chris
