How to check an online website business's official dealership legitamacy

Hello I'm wondering about Outdoor Hobbies Ltd where I tried to Purchase archery equipment. As the title says I want to research their official dealership status, and this is because I am waiting for a product and have paid full price, over £1000. and it has been back ordered, so I don't like to wait around to find out they are not even an official dealer as I could be getting conned or I could be buying it from somewhere else who will get it sooner.

I can easily contact them, but I want to do a background check which I dont know how to do, company house wants money I think, so I want to find a way to contact the bow's manufacturers PSE in America and ask them if they recognise Outdoor Hobbies LTD as an official dealer, its proving hard, the brand name is PSE they make archery equipment.

hhtp://pse-archery.com/k/contact

The customer service agents for their American website were no use at all. they could not give me an email and simply referred me to this phone number and address,

2727 N. Fairview Avenue
Tucson, AZ 85705 US
Phone 520-884-9065

which when I call during working hours for Arizona, greets me with a sharp "Hello goodbye."

I then called the international operator on 150 he received the same greeting. "hello goodbye" an automated response and with no delay.

this is the website which I think is the official website where If I can contact them I may get some answers....

Their website says this...>

I need help! Where can I get some answers?

Shopatron are about as much use as chocolate tits on a teapot, I think they are subcontracted by PSE as customer service agents for their American retail website. So how can I find out PSE's email address as they are keeping it very secret I've been searching all day.
Thank you very much.

Either write to them at the Tucson address and ask for their UK agents (it'll probably speed things up if you give your email address) or contact them on their Facebook page.

i find this strange Outdoor Hobbies Ltd trading since 2003 and they supply to the Royal Armouries according to them.

I dont think the Royal Armouries would go to a third party general site, i think they would go direct to the manufacturers

Precisely why is that strange ? The Royal Armouries are a "Non-Departmental Public Body" - what experience do you have of the procurement regulations for bodies such as this, particularly the purchasing guidelines for items from companies that are not based in the UK ?

    do you think
Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s National Museum of Arms and Armour, one of the largest collections of arms and armour in the world, comprising of the UK’s National Collection of Arms and Armour, National Artillery Collection, and National Firearms Collection. It is also the keeper of Tower of London history
would use a second rate general arms website, they would use manufacturers or recognised arms dealers or contact other museums.

    also http://www.royalarmouries.org/transparency/property-and-procurement

has a link to https://online.contractsfinder.businesslink.gov.uk/ where you can search their suppliers
  • I have already checked this company out by simply speaking to the Royal Armouries on 0113 220 1999. Not only are they an authorised supplier they helped re design the crossbow range. Just ask to speak to retail or accounts and they will confirm this, hope this helps.
