I'm getting married next May and we've been thinking what music to have when I walk in (not exactly down an aisle though as it's at the tiny town hall in OH's village in Provence).

We met in Asia and like Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGs_vGt0MY8
Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one. :)

It was perfect when I heard it - you'll know the right song when you hear it :) Good luck for your day......
Damn was going to say the exact same one! It's so moving :o it would be perfect, i think i cried the first time i herd it. Its so emotional, which would reflect how i felt on that day (if it ever happens)

Me too, I don't care if stuff sounds a bit sad if/when I ever get married it will most likely be something a little sad! If you like it you go for it :)

Do you particularly like the cover you posted? I find it is a bit too quick, overly smooth and a bit sticky in the middle for my liking. There are soooooo many covers on there its harder to find the original now. For a change I actually much prefer the original to any covers of it I've heard. Naturally you can slow it down if you want.

Here is the original/version I prefer:

ETA: My iTunes got wiped and I can't think of my other favourites off the top of my head, if I stumble across them I'll come back here :)

Yes, that version is much nicer! Will see what OH thinks when he's come from work!!

The walking back down the aisle song is already sorted as we both love it:

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I walked down the aisle to Half Light by Athlete. Always reminds me of my OH driving 300 miles to see me at university when we were first together.

I wanted Baby I Love You by the Ramones, but DH hates them and wouldn't let me. So we had Moon River instead.

We're in this together now by Nine inch nails, best bit is the OH would go for it as well

Without a doubt if I had to do it again it would be the anthem "I was glad" by Hubert Hastings Parry, bit it would probably require an aisle and choir the size of Westminster Abbey (as per the Royal wedding) to do it justice. But if you cant t think of anything why not come down the aisle singing your favourite hymn?

If I ever get re-married, and I live in hope, it would be Kodaline's cover of Latch. I love the lyrics in this song.
