Tiscali Broadband--STILL not Connected

Hi All,
I ordered Tiscali Broadband on April 20th. I keep being told there is a delay in my order as there is a fault on my BT line. My phone line is a new line and is working fine for phone usage but I am tied in with BT. Tiscali have told me that I to wait a further 7 days and call back and that my nearest BT exchange is Mile End, London. What I am suppose to do with the latter piece of info puzzles me. Is this a common occurence or a one off. I am thinking of going with another company as someone is not pushing from the tiscali end. Shall I wait as I may encounter a similar problem with the new company? Is it possible that BT is stalling as they want my custom?
Can anyone share a similar experience?

ditch Tiscali and go with another provider... it just apears to me that Tiscali haven't done your order correctly0

If theres a fault on your line then you'll have to wait. BT don't stall orders to try & gain custom from consumers. Its a common occurance for orders to not be complete in the standard 5 working days. Ask Tiscali to find out exactly what the problem is & then i'll be able to assist a bit better in terms of if you're being given a run around0
