Im starting a new job that pays every 4 week. Iv tryed to understand how it works but there explanation makes no sence.
As far as im aware they said, ill work 2 weeks first and then get paid. Then its every 4 week. They also said you work the 4 weeks first then wait 2 weeks before your paid. <<< that confuses me, wouldnt that be working six weeks before im paid?
Sorry its all abit scrambled lol, like my head at the mo, any help would be fantastic.
Thank-you

Ask them for actual dates.
If your start date (or at least the week) has been agreed, then ask what date you will receive the first pay into your bank account.
You should then be paid every 4 weeks from then on.
I know Asda operate a 4-weekly pay system. There may be someone from there who will know how they operate the 4-week pay system and so, if it helps in your case, can tell you whether everyone is paid at the same time (which I think is likely to be the case) and therefore when the pre-planned dates are (eg people are expecting to be paid this Friday).0 -
By the sounds of it you've snuck in prior to the monthly cut-off date for payroll, so you'll get paid in 2 weeks for the first time then it'll "revert" to normal 4 week pay periods. I'd double check that ofcourse, but that seems like the most likely explanation.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0
