Do i have a claim

I'm posting this for OH. On this site, he checked on the tax calculator, to see if he was eligible for a Tax Rebate. Which came back sadly, saying no. :( At his works, he join the works Union.
In the paper work, they gave him, it says that they can cheek, if his entitled to a tax rebate. Well he filled out the forms, now they saying "they have identified a potential claim". The thing is they want 39% fee for doing the work.
Please can anyone tell me, how one says not entitled, other says potential ? How do we do the checks ourselves.

My guess is that, no. You would not have a claim.
If you have put in the figures correctly to the independent website, it is unlikely they are wrong.
I believe, by default, these claims companies will tell you that you "may" have a claim.
Post the figures here and someone will check them for you.
Which do a calculator, but I put some figures in a couple of months ago, and their calculator is wrong. The way that they calculate the tax on the dividend was wrong.
I recommended this calculator a few weeks back and I am afraid it is wrong.

Also note that by submitting this paperwork, if ever in the future he is entitled to a refund then whoever currently holds this 'authority' will get that 39%.

Your DH needs to write to both HMRC and this organisation and withdraw his permission for them to act on his behalf. And keep a copy.
