Travelodge near Legoland?

Hello,

I'm taking my ds to Legoland in Aug - we will be flying into Heathrow.

I was wondering would it be better to stay at the Travelodge at Heathrow or Slough?

I don't drive so we will be relying on taxis or public transport :eek:

How far is Slough from Legoland? Is there a bus or train we could get from there to Legoland, or could we do it by taxi (or too expensive?!)

Im pretty sure the Slough one is closet to legoland (approx 3 miles away). If you book the travel lodge 30 days before your stay you can book for as cheap as £15 a night!!

I expect there will be buses that go from there to legoland, you could always call the travel lodge and ask. Ive done this before and they were happy to help me.

The heathrow heston travelodge is horrible.

i think the buses to Legoland mostly go from Windsor station (my other half used one toget to the station when he'd had enough last year!) and from there you get to London easily enough.
Sorry I don't know about hotels in Windsor cos we've always stayed with friends, but hope that helps - maybe there's a youth hostel?
