Dodgy Aqua email

Hi
I'm new to the forum so not sure if this in the right place so feel free to move it. Today I received an email from Aqua telling me my account was in arrears because I hadn't made a payment this month. However, I closed that account 18 months ago and when I rang up their customer service (not the number on the email in case it is a phishing scam) they said to ignore it but didn't know if anyone had anything similar.

I too have just received the same email even though my account it closed and I make the payment each month.
