Off to vegas for a week -do i take cash, trav cheques, pre-paid card or credit card?

Hi guys,
i'm off to Vegas in 2 months and i'm trying to get my spending money sorted.
I'm looking to take around £2k so what's the best way of taking the money with me? I've just applied for that nifty Halifax CC but I was only offered a £600 limit which i'll take anyways BUT...how should i take the rest of the money?
A pre paid card seems a good bet??
