Cheap weekend in England

Any suggestions for a cheap Friday to Sunday trip to somewhere in England, from London in early May. We need travel, accommodation and spending money to come in at £100 max each. I'm six month pregnant - so not crazy about camping. Thanks.

Know anyone with a tent :D

Last summer we went to Alton Towers, found a cheap campsite and used Tesco vouchers to get into the amusement park. Can't get a great deal cheaper than that.

  • I know different people have their own views about ebay but I found a really great hotel that obviously want's to keep their rooms full up and do their auctions with no reserves for 2 and 3 night stays , i read feedback and people do give the place a good write up (most have paid about 80 pounds for two night stays). It's just something I found and will eventually book later in the year as the price is right. I guess they make their money in the restaurant and bar .

I copied the above from my watching page on ebay , hope it comes out ok x

You could always got to one of the park-resorts holiday parks..

You can get a caravan for Fr-Mon for as low as £68 ( this sleeps up to 6 , elec, gas and bed linen included )..

I have just booked for the May day bank holiday weekend. Only £87 for the caravan for the weekend . This is for a mid-range silver caravan - all they had left at the park i wanted .. Thats very cheap for a bank holiday.. Haven want £200 for their cheapest caravans..
There are lots available on other May weekends..

It will get you used to the type of holidays you will be taking when your child is born :D

Holiday Inn quite often have special offers on inc. breakfast and they are in nice locations.

If you can cope with the throngs of young children then as someone else said, why not go to a static caravan park. There are some sites that are not TOO big and rowdy ;)

If you check out the weekend papers for special hotel deals you may be surprised at whats about.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'd drive to the south coast if I were you...Hastings would be a cheap place to base yourself to go to Brighton, Eastbourne (you could pick up a zimmer frame in the dedicated section in Boots) beautiful Rye and other little villages all around.

A static caravan should be easy to locate, as would a nice B+B...not on the seafront would be a lot cheaper.
