Hi,
I was just wondering about the park and the surrounding area. We were thinking about here for a short break.

I live right next to this site. Its a lovely site. Not huge but has a play park, swimming pool, pub, arcade, shop and beach access. Beach directly off the site is ok but I prefer I short drive or a bit of a stroll into Newbiggin down to Church Point as that is the commercial beach and is lovely- nice park there too if you have kids. Loads to do in the area, plenty of national trust, English heritage sites and places like Alnwick castle are a fab day out. In Newbiggin they have a maritime museum, never been there yet so cant say how good it is, and just up the road is Woodhorn museum which is a lovely place to see about mining but during the summer they also do other things there. Further afield is your Bamburgh and seahouses and Lindesfarne. You're also not too far away from shopping days at Newcastle or the metrocentre. In a town nearby they have just this week opened up a Vue cinema (its in cramlington) Hope this helps

Everything gets a whole lot nicer if you can go a few miles further North eg Haggerston Castle for instance. Warkworth is great. Try to visit Cragside House, Wallington and Druridge Bay.Life is like a box of chocolates - drop it and the soft centres splash everywhere0
