I'm a fan of Indigo car hire, at Faro airport they offer debit card car hire too which is useful a quick google search brings them up. I've used them a few times in the past there a broker so can find you a relatively good deal thats a few pennies cheaper than the supplier.

I would advise http://www.luzcar.com/ at Faro airport.

The price advertised is all you will pay. There is no hidden extras for insurance or fuel. You dont pay anything when booking. Just pay when you collect the car by either cash or card. Fully insured without any excess.

When you return the car you just leave in the car park with the same amount of fuel. Hide the keys somewhere (usually under the sun visor) and check in at for your return flight. They dont even come to check the car for any damage. Very good company, relaible and stress free

We went through economycarhire.co.uk and they hired through another company at Faro. Car was fine, service was fine and no extra payments after someone decided to hit the car whilst it was parked.
