Win one of four exclusive Behind The Music packages: a pair of top price tickets to hear Bryn Terfel sing Sweeney Todd at the Royal Festival Hall on Friday 6 July, a pre or post-show meal for two with champagne at Skylon Bar and Grill, and the chance for you and your companion to meet Bryn Terfel backstage after the performance.
Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel is one of the first people to take to the stage in Southbank Centre’s newly reopened Royal Festival Hall this summer. For four performances only, from 5 - 7 July, he makes his first UK appearance in the title role of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.
David Freeman directs this operatic musical, a dark tale of love, murder and obsession set in the harsh underworld of Victorian London. The London Philharmonic Orchestra, resident at Southbank Centre, performs Sondheim’s richly melodic score under the baton of Stephen Barlow, and Maria Friedman takes the role of Mrs Lovett.
The Royal Festival Hall is better than ever after its two year refurbishment. The iconic 1950s auditorium is more comfortable, and you can see and hear clearly from every seat in the house. Where better to enjoy world-class music with family or friends?
