Halifax have said they will not accept the Australian birth certs of our grandchildren (our son is English married to an Aussie wife) currently living in Australia.
Does anyone know the best entity to set up trust accounts for these babes in the UK, obviously an entity that will accept the aussie birth certs?
If you this isn't possible that would be helpful.

If you envisage saving in cash, then Nationwide International might be able to help http://www.nationwideinternational.com/documents/child_trustee.pdf
Otherwise you might consider investment trust in bare trust for each child example here.http://www.sit.co.uk/products/investing_for_children/features/questions_and_answers/0 -
FCA said there is no legal issue with accepting Australian birth certs, entirely a business decision by the account provider - Lloyds indicated they would accept them.0
