after reading the posts on here was not surprised when a child care check letter dropped through the door, my son goes to the after school club 5 days a week every week through out the term so its always the same figure etc what my problem is during the summer they have 2 organisations who run the camps as they split the holiday
My problem is its a pay as you go arrangement and I literally send my son with a cheque for the days he attends on a weekly basis and I've never had any Invoices as its a parent run scheme I've only got invoices for the term time. I will be asking for a letter from the holiday club to confirm the payment method etc but I'm very doubtful that they will have records of exactly how many days his attended. There were weeks when I've paid the full £150 for the week But I never called tax credits to amend as worried claim would be cancelled so just paid the extra myself am wondering now am I going to get shot in the foot exactly how through are they being as I'm guessi g this exercise is a to clawback as much cash as possible though I bet if I've been underpaid I won't get any back !!! have tried to call the hotline its a joke it just rings and cuts off.

I'm having similar problem.
I've just had to send all my invoices and my bank payments.
I've also sent a forecast for the next tax year.
After adding all my evidence up I've over calculated so I have just got to accept the overpayment.
A few weeks I used a club that's not ofsted registered and this was 200 a week for two children so I was unable to send invoices for that that was when the normal nursery was shut. I don't know why my figures are out I can't explain!
Other than not sending them for 3 weeks while I was off!
I am still waiting for them to review the info.
I guess what ever the overpayments are I will be Payne back for a while!0 -
Of course they will have recorded when your child was attending. That's an OFSTED requirement to have the name and details of all children who attend on each day. It might mean they have to troll back and complain about it, but their fault, they should provide receipts for payment. Not doing so is really bad practice. I get receipts even for a 5 week activity at a cost of £10!They always insists on giving these receipts and rightly so.
PS: you can't claim tax credits for childcare for a provider that isn't registered.0 -
I suspect your parent led scheme is not OFSTED recognised so you can't claim.0

No I checked that in the beginning as his been at this after school club for the past 4 years so defo ofsted registered its parent led ie comittee etc but they employ proper staff so I'm gonna be well popular as
basically is parents who do the admin etc . I've got a list in my bank account of all my term time payments but never ever got in invoices for the holiday time but to be fair never asked as I've never had to show them.
Just to check I'm going from financial years 2nd April 12 to 31st March 13.
This is obviously just an exercise to give everyone an overpayment as I said I bet if I've under estimated my child care they'll just ignore it but wondering if the £10pw disregard will be applied ? as I know if I can get confirmation of the holiday club days that I will be well under as never bothered to adjust it as it was for 2/3 weeks so I believe the change has to be for 4 weeks anyway ?0
