I've had my kindle for some time and although it has 3G I set it up to use WIFI from my home BB as the signal was a bit slow on 3G where I live.
However I now want to stop using WIFI and use 3G instead but cannot for the life of me work out how to do this.
Can someone give me help. I have a keyboard Kindle.
Thanks

3G only works if there is NO WIFI and wifi takes precendence over 3g. So everytime you switch on wireless, kindle tries to connect to known WIFI, if none found then 3g is activated automatically - no intervention on your behalf. So for example go outside to a park etc, then your kindle will eventually connect via 3G.
your solution: goto Kindle Settings> goto WiFI Settings and select view> You should see a list of WIFI Networks and one of them is your home BB. Select "Forget" and from now on your Kindle should connect via 3G......0 -
thanks Vish16.
Didn't work so think I'll have to do a return to factory settings
Been away so will try soon0 -
I have a kindle keyboard and the 3G has never worked, even when I have been in places with 3G access and no wifi access. If I attempt to use 3G and say go onto the kindle store I just get a message that says "A wifi connection is required to complete this task, connect to a wifi network or try again later".0
