I am after a short term let, 3 – 6 months.
One agent told me that with short term lets the landlord would expect me to pay the agents fee which I think is fair but I would like to avoid paying 4 months rent for 3 months let if possible by renting from a landlord direct.
Where is the best place to look for properties to let direct from landlord?
Anyone know of an online site covering the Cheshire area?
Thanks

dont know where abouts you are in Cheshire, but have you triefd the back of newspapers like the Stockport express & times? Or manchester evening news ( or whatever is more local to you , cheshire is a big place)
Loot also good.
other options are "private sales" websites such as houseladder.co.uk or cutthemiddleman.co.uk ( but not sure if this covers cheshire tho) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Hi.
I got a text from someone regarding a website called w w w . a g e n t s l a y e r . c o . u k, where you can let properties directly from landlords. It's free to register. I hope that this can help you if you're still searching.
They even have links for helpful forms to print and to fill out for both landlords and tenants.
Sincerely,

Hi, I'm a landlord who rarely uses agents, I usually advertise via gumtree, that's in London though but I don't know what your local gumtree is like.
It always amazes me why tenants go via an agent in areas where there is a fair amount of landlords renting directly. I have actually rented to a letting agent who knew not to go via a letting agent. They knew to avoid the excessive agency fees you have to go direct.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

They presume that letting agents are trained and certified so they have more protection.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
