I need to sell Venezuelan Bolivar

I've just been sorting through all my old currency to give the coins to charity and among it I found 1500 bolivar. According to my calculations this is around £150.

I've searched the web to see where I can sell it, but so far without any success (presumably because of the precarious political situation at the moment). I could really do with the cash, any ideas please

Is that the official exchange rate or the black market rate? I doubt that anyone would give you the official rate.
If you live in London try going to Elephant and Castle and seeing if any of the latin americans there want it. The problem is that Venezuelans don't usually want to go home that often.

Old currency? How old? Do you mean bolivar or bol!var fuerte? They changed in 2008

If its the newer bol!var fuerte then official exchange rate would put it at about 150 but no one outside of Venezuela will give that to you unless you find a clueless person thats going there (and generally its not on the tourist map).

I havent been there for a while but if you get half the official rate you'll have been doing well.

If its the older one then you divide by 1,000 (if memory serves me well)
