Hi
I am due to go on to Maternity Leave very soon and I have tried to work out my entitlements with regards to child tax credits on various calculators but they are very confusing, can anyone provide good advise and help?
My Mat pay will be approx £138per week and my husbands annual salary is approx £20000 a year
thank you
Jenny

What was your joint income last year (12-13), what is your estimate of inc for this year (13-14) and how many children do you have?0

Hi
Well between us we have a joint income of approx just over £40k.. I am due on maternity leave in Nov and from then on will be on stat pay - whichis very little - especially with a hgh mortgage. This will be our first baby so its all new to me
thank you!0 -
You're unlikely to get any tax credits this year as it works on an annual basis and you'll likely earn over £30k this tax year between you. If you stay off work you'll probably get some from next April, though if you apply then it may be universal credit. It might be worth applying now to get into the system, though you'll likely get a zero award.0
