Yeah, my mum was 49 when my dad died.
I don't remember her getting a 6 month payment although she did get a lump sum. Think it was £1,000 or £2,000, something around that mark.
Yeah, my dad died at the back end of September. Shortly after this she started receiving a fraction of his pension. IIRC it was a bit up & down at first but is now a settled £300 roughly.
Ah well, we thought it'd be all correct. Just wanted to ask about it so thanks for clearing that up. They seem pretty helpful in that they're offering a repayment plan for her if she can't afford it & it doesn't mention any added interest which is good.0 -
