Anyone done one of these? I've got one on Thursday at lunchtime and I'm dead nervous!

Hi eyelinerprincess!
I have only just recently done one of these telephone interviews, which I had never done before, and was also quite nervous.
They usually conduct this kind of interview if they have had lots of applicants and this is the cheapest/less time consuming option for them and you.
May I suggest that you make notes of questions what they may ask, eg. Why do you want to work for Orange? and write down your answer as you would speak to them. Perhaps get a friend or family member to ask the questions you have set yourself, and then answer them.
Have a look at this website which helped me loads: https://www.businessballs.com
Also have ready any questions that you may wish to ask, this shows that you have done your research and are keen to know more about the company and the job.
Good luck!!0 -
hi i did but it was a couple of years ago, they didnt ask about the company, that was in the face to face interview, mainly it was about team work and customer service (im assuming youve applied for retail?)
ones i can remember
show when you have helped a team member
show when you have given good customer service
show when you have delt with a difficult customer
then face to face was asking about strengths weaknesses, why you want to work for them, past actual experienceYes Your Dukeiness0 -
Yeah, I guess I can do that, I've had experience in retail before, in fact, I'm leaving one retail job to find another for more hours, lol."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
