Hi, I have my Orchid controller set so my landline calls go thru 18866 at 2P connection +.5P minute. Mobile calls go thru 1899. The landline calls are charged at 3P connection and no charge / minute, (unless anyone knows different. Thinking of moving over to 1899 for the landline calls. What do you think :p

I believe 18866 has no charge per minute so it is still the cheapest with a 2p connection charge.

I noticed this in another thread, I've just replied.

I think if you check your account, you are charged .5P a minute as well as 2P connection

It depends on who you pay your line rental to. Here is my post from the other thread:-

If you're using BT (& paying line rental to them) then the cheapest for geographical calls (those beginning 01 or 02) is Call18866 at only 2p per call (0ppm).

If you're on a non-BT (or are paying line rental to another company like OneTel. etc), then Call1899 may be the cheapest as they only charge 3p per call (0ppm) for geographical calls through their freephone number.

For those using a BT line but paying the line rental to OneTel, etc you may get away with being able to use Call18866 via their short code 18866. If not then its Call1899.

mechy, you don't need to pose the same question on 3 threads at once

and then the replies are on 3 at once as well

From your comments about 1/2p per minute, it sounds like your line is non-BT. If it is BT, you've got the charge wrong, and there will no reason to change at the moment
