Daughter Leaving School What Happens To My Housing Benefit?

My daughter is 19 and special needs, shes on DLA and is leaving school in July, she will be claiming ESA or rather I will be claiming on her behalf.
My husband is on Pension Credit and all I have is Carers Allowance, because shes leaving school and will be getting a benefit in her own right will that affect my housing benefit? Shes going to college to do a life skills course.
Thanks

Whilst on the assessment phase for ESA there will be no deductions, once she is placed in the support/work related group (main phase) there will be a weekly deduction of £13.60.
Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.

She will be entitled to just over £100 a week on work related ESA, so she will be able to contribute to the household costs.
  • Will the college course enable your daughter to be classed as a Full Time Student? No non dep deductions if the non dep is a student.

Are you or your partner over 65 and on Pension Credits (Guarantee Credit) - if so no non dep deductions for 26 weeks after a change in circs of a non dep in your household.
These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.

The college course is classed as full time, I am 54 an my husband is 65 next year.
I expect her to be in the support group on ESA as she isn't capable of work with her disability
