Good evening all,
Would one of you experts please have a look at the photos of my tomato plants please, the leaves seem to be turning yellow with almost purple veins in them. Does anyone know what might be wrong with them?

They look normal to me, but maybe time to get them into their final large pots or in the ground.
Sink the plant slightly lower than current soil level, this will help it grow more roots, stabilise it, and it will grow thicker, very quickly. Don't forget to start feeding soon.0 -
It seems like healthy and there's no problem at all.0

Thank you both for the replies, my first lot failed to germinate and I am paranoid that I will lose these 6 that I have managed to germinate - who knew I would panic about tomato plants, how exciting my life is now! :rotfl:0

Are you overwatering them?0

It's not unusual for the bottom leaves to turn like that and drop off. If it starts to affect the next leaves up, I'd suspect over-watering at this stage.0

Check out magnesium deficiency of tomatoes on Google.
It's easily treated with a spray of epsom salts solution."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."

Magnesium deficiency , from not potting on and overwatering. Epsom salts is the answer if I remember right. It's not really much of a problem to the extent you have.I'd just plant them up.
Edit... ha, teach me to read the last post, I'm just repeating badrick... but I think he's right!0 -
Check out the first photo , pots to the rear ..... surface of the earth .
Is that a touch of green .... overwatering .

In my experience the two common causes of yellowing are over watering and underfeeding. as said by others, the moss on the soil suggests over watering. However, the lower leaves often look grotty, due to wind damage, age and sun scold.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
