Epilepsy and JSA

I am claiming JSA and due to having an epileptic seizure I missed an appointment last week. I went in today for a meeting, and was told that I am allowed 14 days sickness and after that I will be signed off from JSA.
The person who I saw was very nice, but to be honest I feel a bit insulted. I don't understand why I will be signed off from JSA for having a seizure. This is likely to happen to me again, and the reason for this is because I am currently reducing my medication and as an onset of that I am at risk of seizures.
So, 'when' I am signed off, how will I get help looking for work? What are sickness benefits?

You would need to claim ESA if you are not fit for work. I don't see anything insulting in what she said - she was simply telling you the rules.
Also worth noting you are only allowed two periods of sickness absence (up to fourteen days each) in a rolling year.0 -

What is ESA?
What is classed as not being fit for work? I believe that I am fit for work. Does missing two JSA appointments make me unfit for work? I have never claimed benefits before, so I don't know..0 -
Employment and Support Allowance - the DWP's definition of fit for work is complex, if you Google ESA descriptors you will find more information.0
