Working Tax Credit (how to prove hours)

I qualify for the disability element of the working tax credit, I've been self-employed, have my own pet supplies shop but that will be closing the end of August. I will be becoming my Mothers carer. However, I've been intouch with a couple of dog walking organisations to cover any sickness/holidays if they need it. Also, any stock I have left I intend to have a stall at shows/markets, to sell it and if this is viable to continue to do it.
The lease is up on the shop at the end of August and I wasn't taking enough to take a wage because of the overheads, also I need more time with my Mother.
How do I prove to the working tax credit people that I'm still working and what hours are the minimum or maximum? Does it make any difference to what you are paid, I told them 9 to 5, five days a week at the shop. I did more though with paperwork etc.

Hasn't anybody got any suggestions, it would be ok with the dog walking as the companies would have a record. Its doing the shows.0

You will need to work at least 16 hours a week, every week. Are you sure you will get that with a combination of the two.
I would suggest you keep a diary showing what you are doing for the hours each week so that if HMRC do investigate you can show that you were working that many hours.
Presumably you will remain registered with HMRC for tax and NI purposes as self-employed?
