Tax credit renewal - different phone number?

Hi, just phoned to renew my tax credits for this year. I was told another office was dealing with it and to phone 03000 526540. It is constantly engaged.

Has anyone else had this?

I sent off my proof of childcare payments for this year about four weeks ago to Preston. I'm assuming it has something to do with this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It's a compliance number.
I've been given one similar but I was give the number 4 weeks after I renewed.

When I chased the normal number I was told to ring it. Same code different numbers after

I did get straight through first time.
May have been pot luck.

My letter still has not arrived was told cant send paperwork back till I get the letter.

Mad really cause I renewed 5 wk ago nearly.

And my renewal won't be completed till my childcare review done. By compliance.
