PCN 27 Dropped kerb offence

The dropped kerb lies between mine and my neighbours house. The space between us (aprox 6m x 3m) is used jointly by us for parking one vehicle. We park alongside the dropped kerb knowing that each of us will come out and move our cars if needed to allow the one in the gap to exit. The Council Parking person has said we are not allowed to park alongside a SHARED dropped kerb. As it is only shared by myself and my neighbour (by mutual agreement), and no other restrictions apply, how is that an offence?

I think they are technically right but it's pedantic! Have you got a PCN to appeal?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
