Visitor vouchers and builders permits

Not sure if this is the right place for my question. I will have a builder doing work on my property for a day and he will need a parking permit (I don't have one myself). I look at my council web site and found something called visitor voucher where I can pay for a specific number of hours or a day for a visitor. Then they also have something called "Permission to Park" which mentions builders but it's more expensive. I searched some other councils' website and they all have these two things to apply. Does anyone know the difference between the two and which should I apply?

No idea, but first port of call would be the council themselvesWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

As a resident you should be eligible for visitor permits, which as you say are generally cheaper.
Builder permits are available to tradesmen at premises where there is no resident who can supply visitor permits0
