im confused and need advise

 im currently working with a debt recovery agency who are trying to help me clear all my debts. I am paying them just under £30 a month for this service, my issue is that I have been told that i need to save at least half of what i owe in order for the rest of the balance to be written off, how do i save this much money, i do not really have enough left over each month to be able to save anything ........

    Hi there
    Welcome to the boards
If you are PAYING a firm to sort out your debts, then stop. CCCS and Payplan are FREE companies who will manage your debt plan for nothing. So that £30 you are paying as a fee at the moment will go as extra to your creditors.

Are you commited to staying with this agency? There are others who do this exact same thing for free - that's £30/month extra you could put towards your debts! Try CCCS or Payplan - many, many people here have had really positive experiences with them.
  • im not sure if i have a get out clause, but for every £168 i give them, they take £30 for themselves

Get your original paperwork out or visit there website and look at there terms and conditions.

I think if you are paying that much then National debt helpline can do one for free too we did not have £100 spare so we could not go with them but follow there plan but me doing the work.
