Aaargh Tax Credit Overpayment!

Been trying to get through to them all day & keep getting message ' Unable to connect you at the time'!!

Apparently they've overpaid me by over £1600, but they've only stated I'm due to get paid until 4th September??? WTH? I earn under 20,000 and I get paid all year. What is going on?

Do you have any children on the claim? How old are they?

Do you have a child reaching school leaving age?

If so, that maybe why.

1 in school & 1 that got a job in March. They got that bit right. I told them my salary increased by £1100 on 4/9 and they have put that down as leaving employment then.

As I said: Aaaaaargh!!

Half the time they don't know their arrrse from their elbow ~ hope you get it sorted.

I also noticed they had me down for 16 hours not 35, for the past 3 years AARGH! Why didn't I see that!!!

Just called them & hopefully they've sorted it, but they can only backdate the over 30 hour element for a month. Apparent the renewal adviser finished my employment accidentally.
