Right we cant get contributions based ESA for our 16 year old as they discontinued this last year. However is the income based ESA reliant on parental income?
Thanks for information - my son is very poorly at the moment so would appreciate no sarcastic comments about him getting a job.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

No it isn't based on parental income although it will take any savings into account allthough I suspect that won't be a problem.
He will need a fit-note from his GP though.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
