cheapest salt anyone for weedkilling??

Hi guys I use salt to kill dandelions etc and wonder where the cheapest can be purchased?? Anyone seen any cheap lately.

I used to buy it loose in a plastic bag and refill my container but haven;t seen any lately.

    Hi I was using salt all last year to kill dandelions but they are all back now(and more!) so I don't think it's a permanent solution.This time I'm trying bramble killer as they drive me mad lol.

    Using weedkiller ^ will keep other stuff too though.. doubt the nesting blackbirds/robins or hedgehogs who are poking around in the soil will fare well either. :(

    To the OP, quite easy to get up with a weed remover tool, probably cheaper long term or you could eat them..

    I was just about to say eat them too.. in Japan the roots are a delicacy evidently. I suggest young leaves and Sophie Grigson's nettle and dandelion risotto.

    I use cheap vinegar and it gets rid of most of my weeds.

    one of the best things i found for getting rid of dandelions is pull the flowers off as soon as they come up your be doing this for a few weeks everyday but then they will give up and die back...well until the wind brings in the next load
